The Stone Island brand was first produced in approx 1981 by Sportswear Company. The concept & innovations by Stone Island for the design of its garments started from work wear & military clothing. Now Stone Island Menswear has become a iconic football terrace label in the UK & throughout Europe & is classed by many to be the most cutting edge designer brand to grace our shores. The Stone Island compass badge which is usually on the upper sleeve of the left arm although later aditions have been on the shoulder & belt band has become one of the most reconizable brand logos in desiger clothing history.
During this time Stone Island has produced some of the most sought after pieces including Ice Jackets in which the material changes colour in different temperatures. Also kevlar Jackets which are said to be weight to weight five times stronger than steel. This season has seen the introduction of the Stone Island Tyvec Jacket which has been in great demand, also the Stone Island Shadow Range with its excellent Black badge.

Articulated Anatomy collection. This collection was collaborated with Stone Island and Aitor Throup in AW08 with the Modular Anatomy. On going from this Stone Island and Aitor Throup have focused on articulation for the human body and its connection with clothing. Working from how the body moves and the way clothing adapts to movements. This series will continue with this concept for season to come.
The Articulated Anatomy jacket which was based on USAF flight jacket. Stone Island 4SX1 jacket is reversible with shiny simmering nylon fabric, cotton collar and cuffs with slash front pockets.

All Stone Island items have a unique serial number. Situated on the back of the neck label is a hologram. The serial number on the front denotes the original stockist each serial number is individual for each garment. On occasions you may see the serial number is blacked out this indicates the item was purchased overseas from Europe.
